Giving Back

We believe that as corporate citizens we have a responsibility to the communities in which we live and work to strengthen their cultural and social fabrics and support its citizens in the pursuit of quality of life.

Each year the people of Grand River Foods actively engage in employee volunteerism with various organizations and civic project groups in our communities. We endorse their efforts with financial, product and resource support, believing that our people and our communities are a source of pride for all.

United Way

Grand River Foods was the recent recipient of the 2009-10 “Best First Time Campaign” award as we initiated our partnership with the Cambridge North Dumfries United Way team.

Junior Achievement

We support and endorse Junior Achievements’ national program of meaningful and experiential business learning programs for students as it aligns with our philosophy of encouraging and developing entrepreneurialism and business leadership.

Food Banks

Nutritious quality food is such a fundamental community need and core value for our company. Each year we donate truckloads of product to the Food Banks serving our communities.
In 2009, Grand River Foods donated in excess of $40,000 worth of chicken products to the local food bank and were recognized with the Community Award of Merit by the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank as “a supporter who displayed unique humanity”

Various Youth Groups

We remain concerned for the future of our most vulnerable and needy youth. We provide financial assistance to the Boys and Girls Clubs in our communities and strongly endorse their good work.
