On the fresh side of our business we focus our technology applications on improving the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of processing. Each day, Grand River Foods supplies the fresh market with whole birds or parts necessary to fulfill our customers’ immediate needs.
On the further processed or food production side of our business, we focus on new product ideas and product formulations that improve quality and the customers’ bottom line.
While certainly our innovation is best expressed in the food solutions developed at our Customer Centre and R&D facility, innovation is not just the domain of our R&D people. Sales, Customer Service and in fact, all departments develop innovative solutions, beyond the product, that enhance the total customer experience.
Product innovation is realized through our own “Innovative Process”. This refers to a layout of equipment that allows for products to be fully-cooked, then battered and breaded in-line through the use of dedicated fryer and batter-breading equipment, giving boneless and bone-in products unique breading characteristics. These products can also be marinated and/or dusted prior to cooking in the traditional method.
Grand River Foods possesses the latest European oven technology available, utilizing a unique three-zone control capability to steam, roast, or grill protein products at high capacities. Our three-zone ovens allow for the ultimate in flexibility during the cooking process through control of yield and physical attributes of individual products.
